a few things... texas, barack... and hope

well, tomorrow i get to go to texas to visit some of my family! i'm so excited. i have a new niece..well, she's 1 year now and i have yet to meet her. gonna get to do that tomorrow. unfortunately, the time will be short, so i won't get to see friends in austin or other family in east texas... why is texas so freakin' big?!... a little bit of time at least...thanks to my dear hubby!

and other news... barack. my goodness... isn't this an amazing time?! an amazing time to actually feel the hope of a child? to actually have faith again in this nation? i watched his speech tonight after the nh primary, and even though he came in 2nd, i was still incredibly inspired. i have NEVER listen to a politician like i WANT to listen to him. i WANT to help change this nation. i actually feel like for the first time since i've been a voter... that i have a voice. to dare to have the hope of a child.....
