i am now back from texas...after an amazing trip. it was so great getting to spend quality time with everyone. i got to meet my niece, gretchen, and i got to re-introduce myself to my other niece and nephew, conor and lily. they are now old enough where they really remember people. in addition, i got to hang out one-on-one with terry, cathy, janet, and jon. what a perfect trip!
i tell you...it did the soul right.
and other things... well... perfect, blue skies for miles... awesome mexican food... sonic... dairy queen...trees... rivers... good customer service... huge freakin' grocery stores with amazing produce...
was great to be there......was great to slow down.... was hard to leave... mostly because of my dear family and not knowing the next time i'll see them. ugh. and it's not that i want to live there again... it's just that, well, i think i appreciate it more now. i love living in new york, and i can't imagine being any where else...
but texas will always be with me... and so will my dear family.....................
(inhale, exhale)
i sure am thankful for it all.
