freelancing........

this is part of what i got to see in the mornings at vassar....

since last summer, i have been working as a freelance teacher and actor. and it has simply flown by. the layers of experience that have been added to my heart are numerous. i have had the delight to work with some incredibly talented students. warm and loving faculty... and had opportunities to really hone in on my skills as a teacher. because of this freelance life, i've also had more freedom in my day to work on other projects... new theatre company, readings, new plays, films... etc!

and now...this summer... things are winding down a bit...and i'm just about at the year mark. and i look back and notice... this summer alone, i had the amazing experience of working at 3 different schools teaching acting and voice/speech. what a blessing it was! twice a week, i would travel to poughkeepsie (about 1 hr. 50 min. on the train) to vassar college to work with the apprentice program through powerhouse theatre. this was a 6 week class. and today, i just finished up the summer session at CAP 21 that met 3 times a week for 5 weeks. and right now, i'm still teaching voice/speech during the summer session at Stella Adler that meets 3 times a week. and yes, it has certainly been rich! a year ago....i would have never dreamed that this would be my life!

august is a bit slower... but slowly filling up with privates and other classes.

and so, yes, i've almost completed a full year of freelance work as a teacher and actor. what an amazing time it has been!

i am so, so thankful.............
