home improvement!

so we have this awesome 3-day weekend.
therefore, weeks ago, jud and i decided to paint. and what's more... we actually stuck to the plan.
i am very proud of us.

since the rennovations, our apartment has been the lovely shade of....
wait for it...
WHITE!
this simply will not do.

after much discussion and imagining ourselves in the rooms with the various colors (a bit much, pehaps? NO! this is serious business. we are talkin' color here! hee hee...)
we finally chose.
our guide was this nifty program where you can take a picture of your rooms and then "paint" the walls. i have to say that it's pretty freakin ' cool.

and so we chose....

for the kitchen, we chose..."garden path".
it's a lovely shade of green that will be bright and welcoming.

and then... for the hallways...RED!.... "flaming sword" red, to be exact.
it'll be a statement for sure!

in addition to paint and paint supplies, we also purchased real, curtains and rods for the living room and kitchen. we put up the curtains in the living room last night, and they are beautiful!!!

so... this morning, we tape things off and begin providing color to our sweet home.
