new year

2008
was full of beautiful moments
and also...lots of turning corners and growth
personally
nationally
globally
stepping in a bit of quick sand
uncertainty
searching for some solid ground.
the key, i think, is pushing through...not flailing...not sitting...
but pushing through anyway
and choosing to make what might seem like something that would smother you
turn into something that just sits... has no active power...
its job is to sit
and human power is to move.

and through those awesome experiences come awesome growth.

i am thankful.
i am thankful for all of it.

and looking forward
2009
with the economy crap
and wars, and wars, and wars
there is still uncertainty
but i am more aware now, i think
and i think the world is more aware now too.
of course there is still
uncertainty
but now..............
there is
HOPE
and knowledge and understanding and willingness of hard work ahead.
and it's so rich, that i find myself at even more peace
of opening my arms for what's to come
of charging forward with an unblinking eye.................
